Staying in a historic hotel originally built in 1278 was a truly unique experience. The room was beautifully decorated while still preserving the building's old-world charm, offering both a tub and shower. The complimentary breakfast featured delicious Bernese sausages and fresh coffee, served by friendly staff in a lovely dining area. A minor drawback was the basic nature of some amenities, which could benefit from modern updates.

Best for history lovers
We were blown away by the charm of this ancient hotel! The breakfast was really good, featuring local specialties that made each morning a delight.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but given the experience, I guess it’s kind of acceptable.

Unique architectural features, historical significance, quaint and unique rooms
Limited Wi-Fi coverage!!! Access to some rooms is challenging for older guests!!! The hot water in the bathtub is frustratingly imperfect with a one-minute wait.
